Admiring the picturesque glimpses revealed by the period buildings along the way all of a sudden a beautiful bell tower with a ceramic clock imposes itself on the eye at the end of a narrow street.
And the miniature figures and finely crafted nativity scenes displayed in the shop windows that open onto the alley are also made of terracotta. Here is the workshop, the creative space of master Marcello Aversa, an extraordinary contemporary interpreter of one of the oldest art forms of this land.
